What walks on Four Legs

Genre: point and click adventure

Engine: UE4

Team Size: 12 people

Project Duration: 8 weeks (April - June 202)

Relase: Itch.io

What walks on four legs is a point-and-click adventure game, where the main character has to use magical portals to change his age and solve different puzzles.

I worked on 2 of the 3 puzzles present in the game. I was responsible for concepting, blocking-out and scripting them.

Puzzle 1 - Onboarding

The first puzzle serves as an introduction to the basic mechanics to the game. I was responsible for concepting, blocking out and scripting the level.

The game works like a classic point and click adventure, so the first puzzle had to make that aspect of the game clear.

The challenge is presented immediately and clearly laid out (surpass the guard without being noticed), and the combination of items required is fairly simple.

Puzzle 3 - the Lighthouse

The lighthouse puzzle is the last one in the game, and it is supposed to be the most complex one. Like with the first puzzle, I was responsible for concepting, blocking and scripting the puzzle.

Again, I opted to present the main challenge, going through a broken bridge, immediately, with most of the level taking place afterwards. â€‹

To escalate the difficulty, the lighthouse features more objects to gather and interact with, and requires more complex combinations, with combined objects needing to be combined again.
